imc presents Automotive Testing Solutions far beyond Data Acquisition and Data Analysis at Explore to Innovate on June 19 & 20 in Kempten
Technology transfer for the benefit of people, the economy and society
The future of mobility is becoming increasingly automated and digitalised. The automotive industry has to hold its own in the face of technological change and international innovation competition – as quickly and efficiently as possible. Experience living research and technology in this field!
The new “Explore-to-Innovate” forum consisting of two days, the Science Talk, the Evening Rollout (19 June) and the Track Day (20 June), presents a unique combination of specialist presentations, a technology exhibition and live demos in the lab and on test tracks.
In the outdoor area, together with our partner Sensoric Solutions, imc Test and Measurement will be exhibiting an electrified Smart, which has been instrumented for use in road tests. Tthe recording of the measurement data can be experienced live in the vehicle during test drives on the proving ground. Experts are available onsite to answer questions about the sensors used, measurement data acquisition and analysis of the measured values.
The vehicle is equipped with the following sensors (among others) for a comprehensive measurement of vehicle dynamics:
Here are some of the features, that all together provide the complete picture.
OMS system
Optical speed sensor and integral unit in a compact form factor
- Speed in 2 axes (longitudinal and transverse axis)
- Absolute speed and distance
- Acceleration and rotation rate each in 3 axes
- Pitch & roll angle
- Easy mounting via magnetic holder, suction cups or on the towing eyelet
WFT Wheel Force Transducer
6-component measuring wheel for recording forces and torques in all 3 axes
- Output in vehicle and wheel coordinate system
- Maximum interference immunity and measurement accuracy thanks to on-site digitization and online calculation
- Precise temperature compensation
- Robust measuring body with long service life
CLSx steering sensor
Detection of steering torque, angle and speed with a compact sensor concept
- The world's smallest and lightest sensor
- Ideal for standard tests
- Torque +/-100 Nm
- Steering angle +/-1,440 degrees (4 turns)
- Steering speed +/-2,048°/sec
Dx-BrakeTemp
Wireless and synchronous temperature measurement on up to 4 wheels
- 3 differential or 4 single-ended thermocouple measuring channels per tire
- Measuring range up to 1,300°C
- 200 Hz sampling rate
- 16 bit resolution
